American Apothecary, Remy Martin, Legendary Damon & Alist Entertainment
“John Thompson”
On March 12th, 2011 (New York, NY), Legendary Damon, American Apothecary and Remy Martin presented “The Luxxx Ball: Legendary Damon’s Annual Birthday Celebrationâ€. Hosted at Millesime at 92 Madison Avenue New York, NY 10016, it was a packed house throughout the entire evening. The opening reception was hosted by notable Producer/Director ZM Wright, where guests enjoyed an open bar of the nights signature drink the “D-Luxxx†(VSOP and Piper), courtesy of Remy Martin.
The night included special performances by rapper Unique, and Mic Murphy from The System; and the icing on the cake was the surprise performance by Hip-Hop royalty, Lil Kim. However, it was the grand entrance of the evening’s guest of honor, Legendary Damon, who stole the show. While the “King’s Motorcade†(from the film, “Coming to Americaâ€) boomed over the sound system, Legendary Damon descended from Millesime’s decadent stairway with his entourage of flower girls, outfitted in African-inspired headpieces and skirts.
Damon was quoted as saying:
“From the minute I walked into room I had a great time at “The Luxxx Ball†(with my 3 rose peddler’s). When I saw everyone’s luxurious outfits, and heard the DJ’s (DJ Kiss and DJ Jimmy) I knew it was going to be an epic party. I always wanted Lil Kim to perform, and she was both amazing and gracious. Time to start planning next years!â€
With an overflowing VIP section, and droves of well wishers, Legendary Damon celebrated his birthday like a King.

Tiger Blood…. Winning O_o
If you’re an even remotely sentient being, the odds are good that you’re sick of hearing about the escapades of Charlie Sheen by this point, but please bear with us for just one mere moment while we direct to you to a bit of Sheen-related audio ephemera; we can pretty much guarantee that you’ll be glad you did. Now, while we’re certain that you’ve seen, heard, and/or read about the infamous, beyond-viral interview where everybody’s favorite sitcom star threw out one classic quote after another (we won’t even bother linking to it), you really haven’t lived until you’ve experienced those magical moments as part of a heavy-duty dubstep mix.
Yep, you’ve got that right — Ephixa’s “Charlie Sheen Dub†takes such memorable Sheen phrases as “Dying’s for fools,†“I was banging seven-gram rocks,†and “I exposed people to magic†and many more, and incorporated them all into a deep, driving dubstep groove in this video. And for extra fun, Sheen’s image is edited to groove right along with the mix, not that he probably wouldn’t have done so in real life. It’s all just an extension of the magic, so soak it up while you can, before Sheen’s lawyer takes it down.
Ultra Music Festival Responds to WMC Controversy
WMC WONT BE THE SAME THIS YEAR!
Don’t expect to see:
DJ TIESTO
DURAN DURAN
UNDERWORLD
DAVID GUETTA
AND THE OTHER HOUSE BANGERS!
“Unfortunately WMC did not take into consideration that during the second week of March the city of Miami hosts the annual Calle Ocho street fair, which attracts more than one million people into Downtown Miami for this free event. As much as we felt it was a bad idea to move the dates to the second week of the month with such short notice to the public, as it would cause serious logistical and financial issues to fans that have already confirmed and purchased travel to Miami for the last week, Ultra used absolute best efforts to maintain the relationship with WMC and join them in the move to the second week. However, this was rendered impossible by the City of Miami police department as they do not have the resources to host Ultra Music Festival and Calle Ocho in Miami on the same weekend due to the fact that all police resources will be outsourced to the one million person annual event.” Ultra Music Festival Representative
